The best of the pandemic

This pandemic is like a two sides of coin. There are many positive effects as well as negative. Let's have a look on positivity.  1. Crime incidents have become rarer: Since the lockdown is effective, there have been a fewer road accidents, fewer murders and fewer reports of violence against women and fewer suicides — all leading up to saving of lives. There had been 40% fall in murder cases in the first phase of lockdown. Also there had been a 70% fall in rape cases,15% fall in road accident and a 100% fall in cases of violence against women and children. 2. Falling prices of fuels: Demand for petrol sank by almost 18% in March and by 26% for diesel in the same month. By the second week of March 2020, local prices of petrol and diesel were down by INR 4.55 and INR 4.70 per litre respectively in Mumbai. 5. The rivers are cleaner: The coronavirus lockdown may have forced us to stay indoors, but it's been a boon for the environment. With industries shut and people staying indoors due to the lockdown, nature appears to be in rejuvenation mode. Studies show air quality improved and rivers are cleaner. YAMUNA :                   Mr. Chadha, vice-chairman of delhi, said that, " Many industries and offices are closed due to the lockdown these days and therefore the Yamuna is looking cleaner these days. The stoppage of industrial pollutants and industrial waste has definitely had a positive effect on water quality. We will conduct testing of the water to ascertain the percentage of improvement in the quality.
